We hold to the truth of the Genesis story - original blessing, rather than original sin. Our creation was in the image and likeness of God and God declaring it all good.

 

Some have taught about an angry God...

Angry at our sin - sin somehow inherited from Adam and Eve.

 

They say that that angry an God killed his own son because he was angry.

 

Therefore, according to that story, Jesus as God incarnate, sacrificed self

for us - to save us - because he was angry.

 

However, the truth is that Jesus never said this and Jesus never taught this.

It was Paul that suggested this and the church indoctrinated this, at the Council of Nicea in 325.

 

After all, a loving God, created us in God's image and likeness.

God declared there was a goodness in all creation and Jesus declared an end to bloody sacrifice as love always wins.

 

The story of an angry God is a monstrous story while the truth of a loving God is blessed truth!
