The scriptures of nearly every religion proclaim that the wisdom teacher founding that religion was inspired by God.

 

The ancient Vedic sages - Manu, Vyasa, and Shankara, among others - have been revered by millions of Hindus as direct channels of God to humankind.

 

The Buddhist scriptures proclaim Buddha as the enlightened knower of the ultimate reality.

 

Abraham, Moses and the founders of Judaism are desribed in the Hebrew Scriptures as speaking directly with God.

 

The Christian Scriptures declare that Jesus was a Son of God, speaking, teaching and acting as a channel of God's infinite wisdom.

 

And Mohammed, the founder of Islam, has been considered through the centuries by Muslims as the Prophet through whom Allah revealed the Qurán.

 

These holy teachers devoted their lives to guiding humanity toward paths of goodness. They gave messages suited to the vital necessities of their times; and the inner truths of their teachings are still relevant today.

 

The Lord said to Moses, "Come up to me on the mountain and wait there; and I will give you the tables of stone, with the law and commandment, which I have written. - Judaism

 

The Qurán through the Prophet's lips did come. Whosoever says God did not speak it, speaks falsely. - Ìslam

 

I, God, have given this knowledge to mankind from age to age. - Hinduism

 

God sent me into this world with the following orders... "Go and spread My religion there, and restrain the world from senseless acts." Sikhism

 

The One Life of all life now lives in me! Then Truth, God, came and dwelt within my heart, And was my understanding, ear, eye, speech. - Sufism

 

The words I speak unto you I speak not of myself; but the Father that dwelleith in me, he doeth the works. - Christianity.
