Religion

The scriptures of nearly every religion proclaim that the wisdom teacher founding that religion was inspired by God.

The ancient Vedic sages - Manu, Vyasa, and Shankara, among others - have been revered by millions of Hindus as direct channels of God to humankind.

The Buddhist scriptures proclaim Buddha as the enlightened knower of the ultimate reality.

Abraham, Moses and the founders of Judaism are desribed in the Hebrew Scriptures as speaking directly with God.

The Christian Scriptures declare that Jesus was a Son of God, speaking, teaching and acting as a channel of God's infinite wisdom.

And Mohammed, the founder of Islam, has been considered through the centuries by Muslims as the Prophet through whom Allah revealed the Qurán.

These holy teachers devoted their lives to guiding humanity toward paths of goodness. They gave messages suited to the vital necessities of their times; and the inner truths of their teachings are still relevant today.
